Republicans, where do you suppose that elite secret societies hide?

Question by Light Fly: Republicans, where do you suppose that elite secret societies hide?
Don’t they hide behind ELITISM? Aren’t you supporting the destruction, control, and terrorizing of the world when you hail the rich and support them like you do? You can argue until you are blue in the face as to how and why the economy works best this way, but do you not invite your own destruction in doing so? Are you not playing Russian Roulette with your own and others’ lives? You invite not only your own demise, but that of others…shame, shame, shame, SHAME on you. Do you think that just because you don’t see these societies and secrets with your eyes, that makes them go away and not exist? John F. Kennedy warned of secret societies, stating they were the one threat to the very fabric of our democracy and therefore, MUST be brought down. Are you not intelligent enough to understand how such dangers are imminent with such secrecy? JFK was later killed…go figure. These scumbags could never survive in the open, so why do you not look within and ask the probable questions so that you can preconceive the strategies that are truly at play and against you? Do you not understand the concept behind playing chess? Do you not realize how they ultimately are only able to nest themselves behind elitism? Any other form of rule and they are without the power and the influence to control every aspect of our lives. If they were obvious, you would protest, but because you don’t see them, you believe they go away. While there are many types of terrorism, basically there are two forms…obvious and subtle. This American doesn’t like either one. Do you honestly believe that these ‘invisible’ bombs are not as catastrophic as the ones we do see? The Republicans are aiding and embedding these terrorists by supporting elitism, and quite frankly, it pi**es this REAL American OFF! I think you need to go and join the terrorists in the Middle East, and legitimately so.
HOW do you justify yourselves for this?
…and whether you realize it or not, this question could go into ANY category, as far as I am concerned. It relates to ALL people everywhere. It is your demise I speak of.

Q&A: What do you think are Winnable Games in a casino?
Question by Mrs. BonBon: What do you think are Winnable Games in a casino?
My basis is none exist with the exception of poker & sports and blackjack if your an expert card counter.
Ive heard false promises of people who claim that its possible to beat video poker – roulette and craps – and a few others if they get somewhere between brave and psycho
personally I think its a joke – not so much that you are wrong for thinking so but because it creates false hope to make people think they can beat these games – I have not heard of anyone who is a self employed professional gambler at roulette or video poker – I have heard of people who can do it at craps – BUT it does not mean that are you playing a favorable game – and the number of people who make their living only by craps is practically ZERO
If your HIGHLY bankrolled at any of these games I suppose its possible for people to use hit and run strategies to make a profit off these games but it does not change the facts that says over time you will LOSE
What do you all think am I way off base or what?

Can casinos cheat players?
Question by pachl@sbcglobal.net: Can casinos cheat players?
Please, only answer with serious replies, preferably based on some real-world experience.
I am living in Europe. The casinos here seem to be rigged against the players. This is not some sour grapes observation; I have been very analytical in my observations. I’ve even taken friends with me to verify the statistics I was storing up.
First, let’s talk about blackjack: one casino uses an automatic card dealing machine. There are times when it seems impossible the dealer is getting so lucky: often 80% of the time he starts with an ace, ten, or face card. One day I visited two casinos, and in both places the dealer had an ace as his first card three times in a row.
On those rare occasions when the dealer doesn’t start with a strong hand, he magically gets 21. Not 19 or 20, but 21. One night, we started mocking the dealer because it became ridiculous. About 90% of the time, he’d have five, six, ten (face card). It was never five, seven, ten or anything. But always those three cards to equal 21. This happened at least 20 times within 90 minutes.
Roulette: some of my friends are convinced that the casino somehow uses magnets to influence the ball. One oddity: on about five occasions recently, I switched my chip from one number to a split between two numbers. So, while I started with a chip on Five, at the last moment I switched it to Four/Five.
Guess what? EACH TIME I won.
It seems statistically that this is not just some aberration. I moved a chip to one of the only numbers that wasn’t being played… and it won…. five out of five times.
Suspicious?
Please, do not answer with the typical:
1) You’ve got a selective memory
2) It all evens out in the end
These occurences seem to deny statistics. In fact, I just returned from the casino. I was getting such abominable cards that I had them switch the table from Blackjack to Pontoon. I quintupled my money in about an hour. In other words, the cards were so abominable, that getting a 5-card pontoon was actually a winning strategy.
To the first respondant who commented, “you are seeing statistics that aren’t really there, just trying to justify your losses”, that is not true. As I said, I even took friends there to help me keep statistical count.
Here in Europe I think that inspection is lax and not frequent. Also, if it’s like everything else here, there is corruption.
Also, it’s not just me. I have seen pros playing (yes, I am taking their word for it, that they gamble so frequently it’s like a profession) who lost about ,000 in a day. The cards they would get were ridiculously bad. For example, they’d split aces against a six, get a three and a four, and the dealer magically draws an ace (here, the dealer only gets one card at the beginning; he draws last).
While this is not proof of cheating, a few times the ball has literally bounced out of the number it landed in, almost like it was getting some invisible whack.
As I said, some friends here are convinced that the casinos are cheating.

Well, you really don’t expect casinos to just give you a fair chance at winning at their games right? Of course its “rigged” against you, and by rigged I mean its preset such that the casino will win maybe 63% of the time, but people will win occasionally, 37%. The reason being is that they want to win a profit like most businesses do, but by letting you win a sometimes, you think you can keep winning and actually make money, and in return, you spend more money. I really doubt they are using slights of hands or any real rigging, such as tampering or cheating to win. You have to consider that these people are so trained to minimize loss and will be fired if they lose too much money for the casino. I think this is how it works anyways.
Edit: This is from a USofA perspective. You may just be getting fustrated and you are seeing statistics that aren’t really there, just trying to justify your losses.

Well personally. I freakin’ hate Synchro’s. They ruined the game of Duel Monsters! It makes it too easy for some random noob to just come along and summon an ultra-powerful monster for jack squat!
But all in all, I would still say this deck sucks, despite my obvious resentment towards the white fairies of duel monsters (synchros).
If you rely your deck upon one single type of thing like synchros its easy for someone to counter that. I know i could kick your ass with my Uria deck fairly easily without even having to summon Uria!
I give this piece of crap a 5/10 AT BEST.

Do condoms really protect us from the AIDS virus?

Question by Yahcal613: Do condoms really protect us from the AIDS virus?
This is what you will find.
Latex Condoms, when used properly, are
highly effective against pregnancy –
although no contraceptive can guarantee
100% effectiveness. Any use of Latex
Condoms, when used properly, may help
reduce the risk of catching or spreading
many Sexually Transmitted Diseases
(“STDs”) such as syphilis, gonorrhea,
chlamydia infections, genital herpes, and
AIDS; however, they cannot eliminate the
risk. For maximum benefits, it is
important to follow the instructions for
use printed on the inner side of the
package. Failure to do so may result in
the loss of the benefits of a condom.
During intimate contact, lesions and
various body fluids can transmit STDs.
Therefore, a new condom should be
applied each and every time before any
such contact occurs.
Another label actually says:
See warnings and carefully follow
instructions for use printed on inner side
of carton. This product is intended to help
prevent pregnancy. It does not protect
against HIV infection (AIDS) and other
Sexually Transmitted Diseases (“STDs”).
Holes in Condoms…
STDs are very tiny organisms, minuscule
in size compared to sperm. These supersmall
viruses can get through a hole in a
condom much more easily than sperm
can. For example, HIV (the AIDS-causing
virus) is so small that two million of the
disease-causing agents could crowd on
the period at the end of a sentence.
In 1993 the University of Texas
analyzed the results of 11 different studies
that had tracked the effectiveness of
condoms to prevent transmission of the
AIDS virus. The average condom failure
rate in the 11 studies for preventing
transmission of the AIDS virus was 31%.
One reason condoms fail in preventing
the transfer of AIDS is that latex condoms
have tiny intrinsic holes called “voids.”
Sperm is larger than the holes, but the
AIDS virus is 50 times smaller than these
tiny holes which makes it easy for the
virus to pass through [Source: Dr. C. M.
Roland, editor of Rubber Chemistry and
Technology]. To give you an idea of how
easy it would be for the virus to pass
through these holes, just imagine a ping
pong ball going through a basketball hoop.

Condom Warnings — Beware!!!
Doctors speak out about condom
failures!
Many leading health experts have warned
against depending on condoms for
protection against AIDS and other STDs.
Here’s a sampling of their comments:
“You just can’t tell people it’s all right to
do whatever you want as long as you wear
a condom. It (AIDS) is just too dangerous
a disease to say that.”
Quote from: Dr. Harold Jaffee, chief of
epidemiology, National Centers for
Disease Control
“Simply put, condoms fail. And condoms
fail at a rate unacceptable for me as a
physician to endorse them as a strategy
to be promoted as meaningful AIDS
protection.”
Quote from: Dr. Robert Renfield, chief of
retro-viral research, Walter Reed Army
Institute
“Relying on condoms for ‘protection’ can
mean lifelong disease, suffering, and even
death for you or for someone you love.”
Quote from: Dr. Andre Lafrance, Canadian
physician and researcher
“Saying that the use of condoms is ‘safe
sex’ is in fact playing Russian roulette. A
lot of people will die in this dangerous
game.”
Quote from: Dr. Teresa Crenshaw, member
of the U.S. Presidential AIDS Commission
and past president of the American
Association of Sex Educators

The best protection is not to do it. But you can go ahead and set yourself up for a date with the devil
Best answer:
Answer by mooey
Well best thing to do is not sleep with everyone you meet. 2nd condoms reduce the risk otherwise they would not sell them. If you used no protection at all then your a fool but having some protection is better then none. The risk is still there but if you buy good condoms then you don’t have that problem. Listen to what Sam Kinison said in his act about Aids. Also don’t believe everything you read since that is just someones opinion and not based on the facts.

Math Statistics Help. P.D.F. ; C.D.F etc.?

Question by tommyhil4_6: Math Statistics Help. P.D.F. ; C.D.F etc.?
Problem 2) A casino has developed a simplified roulette wheel, with 3 red spaces, 3 black spaces and 2 green spaces. While the wheel spins, people place bets on either red or black. They double thei money if they guess right, and lose their money if wrong. They lose for sure if it lands on green. However a man named larry and his 16 friends have rigged the wheel. After a red or a black space comes up, it is green with probability 1/24. After a green space comes up, it is green with probability 7/8.
a) What is the long term probability of hitting a green space?
b) After a long time, what is the probability of winning if you bet on every spin?
c) What strategy could larry and his friends use to improve their odds? How well would it work?
Best answer:
Answer by Tony Z
sounds like a problem from a class on markov chains
the matrix is easy to set up then use it to compute P^infinity, that’s ur answer to a and b
c is to bet a lot after a red or black comes up and very litlte after green comes up, computing how well it works is straightforward
