Is there an online blackjack program for US citizens that has a table with a $ 5 minimum and no maximum bet?

Are you thinking of using the martingale system? If so you just need to go to a higher limit table when your bet size requires it. I’m not suggesting you should use this strategy. I have no idea if it is profitable or even allowed. I play at Doyle’s Casino and they have some reasonably high stakes tables. Havent played blackjack at crown for ages (poker player) but it is either 6 or 8. Someone who regs BJ there can probably answer 100% correctly. Not sure about the tables with auto shufflers though.

You can always just ask the dealer/floor person next time you are there

No. You are always at a disadvantage when playing against the house, even with basic strategy.

The only time you pull even close to beating the house in blackjack is with basic strategy is in single deck games.

Question by Stephen B: Any tips/winning strategies for online blackjack?
I just started learning and playing online blackjack and I need more strategies. A lot of this gambling/card “lingo” is still new to me, so english translation would help quite a lot.

My strategies so far is whenever I have say 10 or 11 and the dealer has 9,10,11, I always double, most of the time it works. Also, whenever I land on 18-20, I always stand. Other than that I don’t really know how to take advantage of Surrender or other hitting strategies, etc..

Can anyone help?

The best way to learn palying blackjack is read some books. They are all available in your public library for free. Also look at website http://bj21.com you’ll see some good advise there also. It’s really an even game unless you create the wrong strategies. In Las Vegas they have single decks but unfortunately some casinos pay 5 to 6, The older casino still pays 1 and 1/2 of your original bet. If you’re playing for fun, enjoy it. Question by K-bo: Does anyone know how the table minimums in Atlantic City work?
I am going to be in Atlantic City area this weekend and wish to stop over sometime when the blackjack tables are down to $ 10 minimum and that Texas Hold em bonus game is down to a $ 5 minimum. Do the casinos go by certain times where they increase their minimums? If so what are these schedules and what casinos are the lowest minimums?

Yes casinos will change their minimums based on “traffic”. There may be general patterns, but I don’t beleive they have a set schedule for this. It is up to the management at the time to see how the crowds are.

So the peek times will have higher minimums. The higher class the casino the higher the minimum. So your best chance of lower minimums will be to go to the smaller casinos at off times, such as weekdays and early mornings.

The other day I found a casino with different bonuses depending on the type of game that you play. I can’t remember which casino it was, but why would online casinos have different bonuses depending on the type of game you like to play? Doesn’t make much sense to me.

I know a place with a double deck game that allows double after split, and lets your re-split to 4 hands. According to the Wizard of Odds blackjack calculator, that a .38% house edge with basic strategy. Sometimes the dealers are lazy too, and deal it very deep into the deck (15 or so cards left). I’m not going to say where it is though because it’s pretty empty a lot of the time and I don’t particularly want more people playing there. I’ll just say it’s here in the Las Vegas area, and NOT on the strip.
