I am playing online against other players for points (no money involved).
I don’t see any of my opponents cards.
Ace is always worth one. 21 always wins or ties.
22 beats 23, 23 beats 24 and so on.
What is this type of Blackjack called and what is my best strategy?
Stand on 17?
I am aware that it is not a normal Blackjack game. It is called blackjack by the creator however.
Regardless, I have given you the rules of a game of a game that I am playing.
Could you tell me the best strategy?

There’s no best. I’d use Javascript in the client (that’s nothing to do with Java) and PHP on the server. Because that’s what I’m best in.

Absolutely no problem. The casinos are happy to have you there. They don’t mind if you play perfect Basic Strategy, because they know they will still win your money over the long run.

Here is a site that lists all the Chicago casinos. Just click on each casino name and you can get a link for that casino’s website. The casino’s website should say whether or not they offer baccarat.

I only clicked on the very first site listed, and that site DID offer baccarat.

Casinos never lose money. Giving you that initial free cash is like a dope dealer giving a free sample to a druggie. They know that customer is coming back and paying the next time.

no because the casino always has an edge. If you heard about the MIT blackjack team, they counted cards and had an edge, so they were able to profit from the casinos. But they were essentially cheating.
