It is not possible to be sure of the odds of winning any luck based computer game because the odds can be easily modified by who ever controls the game, although this is illegal if playing for real currency. As for an automated system, that would be illegal if playing for real currency.

How do the casinos make money on Baccarat?

Question by Robert: How do the casinos make money on Baccarat?
So, either the player wins, or the banker, and none of them lose money when a tie shows up. The odds of a banker and player showing up is almost equal, except the small 5% commission on banker. So, my question is that how is this game profitable for the casino? Basically, it seems to me that they are only profiting on the tie, and the 5% commission, because based on equal odds of player and banker, half of the players should win, and half should lose their bets in the long run [let's say in a sample of 1 million bets per year]. Someone clear things up for me please, because I think the 5% commission would never satiate the casino owners who are seeking to make big money out of these games.

you don’t think 5% is good ? those guys make big bets

ties make the house 14%

Q&A: what is the newest and easiest system to use at playing casino blackjack for a single player?

Question by olennyc: what is the newest and easiest system to use at playing casino blackjack for a single player?

Well you cant count cards unless you have a lot of people playing with you. What i would use is basic strategy. If you have two 8s then split them always. really anything 8 and higher split. If you hit 17 and higher never hit its suicide. 15 is the unlucky number though you have to hit on that even if the cards turn out bad.

Is there a shortcut to workout what 95% of amounts in your head?

Question by kmh987: Is there a shortcut to workout what 95% of amounts in your head?
I am a dealer at a casino and will learn baccarat soon, and if banker bet wins we take 5% eg $ 100 bet we pay them $ 95. However, the amounts get pretty big and unfriendly eg $ 33,235! I can work out the 5% easily enough, but can’t for some reason struggle to take it away from the original amount. I was wondering if there was a quicker or easier way to work it out.

i think you are already using the easiest method short of using a calculator

just take 10%, divide that by 2 to get 5% and subtract it from the total winnings

I think it’s just going to take repetition to do it quickly

Dealer stand against Soft 17. Hi-Lo counting system. TC=true count

A9 vs 6 TC=+4

A9 vs 5 TC=+5

A8 vs 6 TC=+1

A8 vs 5 TC=+1

A8 vs 4 TC=+3

A7 vs 2 TC= >0

9,9 vs 7 TC=+3

9,9 vs Ace +3

8 vs 6 +1

8 vs 5 +3

A,2 vs 4 +3

A,3 vs 4 +1

7,7 vs 8 +5

3, 3 vs 8 +4

2,2 vs 8 +5

What action would you take in these cases? On the charts, it only gives the number and there were multiple logical actions. On the higher soft totals, to me, there was no logical action.

A couple points I’ll make that may be an answer to your inquiry. (More likely, they may not!)

#1 – One thing you didn’t mention is how many decks you were playing with, and how DEEP into the deck(s) you are. This makes a difference with how much you should be betting, but not necessarily what action you should take.

#2 – I am a believer that you should rarely deviate from basic strategy because of the count. (I’m sure there will be some folks that disagree.) Let’s just take one high-count example from your list: Take 7,7 vs. 8 with a +5 count. Bottom line, you’re in trouble this hand. Lot’s of 10′s left means it’s more likely that he’s got the 18, AND it’s more likely that if you hit, you’ll go bust. But what else would you do?!? Split it??? No way! You’re more likely to get 17 & 17 and have 2 losing hands. I’ll never forget the advice I got when I had a huge bet one day…I received hard 16 vs. the dealer’s 10. (I wasn’t counting at the time.) I squirmed thinking about my decision…maybe I should just stay…..Finally an old guy next to me said, “Hit it like a man!” I did, and I caught the 5.

Don’t deviate from basic strategy regardless of the count, unless you’ve got a specific reason to do so. (I just checked over each example you gave…I wouldn’t change from basic strategy for any of those situations.)
