casinos banning because of the time played and money won?

Question by _: casinos banning because of the time played and money won?
if you win, for example, $ 100,000 over about 15 minutes of blackjack or baccarat and leave while you’re ahead, and do this consistently, do you think the casinos will ban you? is 15 minutes too short of a time for you to play? how long do they want you to play so that they will have a “fair” go at your money? does it matter if you divide that time up in the day? for instance, if they like you to play for an hour, can you play for 15 minutes 4 times a day?

Best answer:

Answer by GamblingMaster
You can leave when you want, just think for yourself, not for the casino, they will be alright and if they ban you then they are not fair.
There is no casino rule that you cant leave the table after 15 minutes.

Casino advice for a beginner going to Vegas!?

baccarat casino

Question by Barbarella: Casino advice for a beginner going to Vegas!?
Ive been to casinos a few times and I went to Macau last year but I would really appreciate some tips as I went with my bf who pretty much took care of everything…. Please can someone give tips on going to casinos? i.e where to go to change money and how much are you supposed to change into chips/tokens each time (I know if depends how much you wanna play but whats the norm?)

what are the kind of rules and etiquettes when playing? I know how to play blackjack and baccarat and roulette but are there any rules i.e is it rude to stand around, how to wait ur turn etc? Also I think there are some hand signals you need to give for blackjack to signify whether you want more cards or not? Are there hand signals for every game?

Also I hear they give free drinks when you gamble…. Is that true? How do you get them? and how do they know what you want? Does some girl just come round?

Are casinos in vegas open 24/7? can you smoke inside?

Thanks for any help!
How much do I tip the waitress and the dealer? $ 1 like the buffet server and taxi driver?
Also how do I tip the dealer?? Just give it to them?? Will they think its weird?

Best answer:

Answer by I pity the fool!
Yes you must give hand signals in Blackjack. While playing dice, always know where the dice are, so you dont have your hand down as the dice are thrown your way. Always respect the dealer, (they are at work ya know). Just have fun, dont try to make money, just play and enjoy yourself.

U can buy chips at the tables.

Drinks are free, but make sure you tip the waitresses!

When you play at a table game, make sure to get a few $ 1 chips so you can tip the waitress AND the dealers! These people only make minimum wage and expect tips for service. You can bet the tip with your bet, or you can just give it to the dealer (ask what the perfer).

Dont forget to tip the bellman that takes your bags, $ 1 per bag.

Dont forget to tip the cab driver $ 2.

Dont forget to tip the buffet servers $ 1 per person.

As, you can tell, there are alot of people that rely on tipping. When in doubt, tip!

Gambling help baccarat vs black jack?

Question by diamondgirl21: Gambling help baccarat vs black jack?
I’m going to be gambling about 300 US dollars in las Vegas a week from today
which game do you recommend I play mini-bac or BJ?
what’s the best thing that can happen in either?

And what is pocket casino credit?(Venetian las Vegas)

Best answer:

Answer by Free $ 4 YOU Home JOB CLICK ME$ $
MINI Bac i love it the dealer plays the cards without passing the shoe DO get a card and track the hands and see what is streaking !

I have uncanny runs of 15 – 20 all players or all banks in a row

so if YOU inctrease YOUR wager 1 unit like after 3 st say it’s mini bac with $ 5 MIN

at hand 15 YOU would have added $ 60 more dollars to you bet !

I usally stopped when my wager reached $ 50 because of MY starting Bnk roll that would be 5% size !

thats what YOU need to do when gambling in any way 5% max of YOUR total Gambling Bankroll CASH not credit cards !

IF YOU start with $ 300 YOU max Wager is $ 15 add more when winning and YOU added $ 200 to YOUT bank less % when losing drop it to 3%

this is how sharp players win consistently every year !

IT has worked for decades and will continue working !

The Casinos hate me I am a player I adjust my wagers accordingly I have MY goal set win or lose I know when TO Quit and go to sleep or GO home !

I have many days or nights when i started out with $ 150 playing poker 7 card stud 1 -5 $ low limit and after 10 hrs had won like $ 500 against a table Cowboys and Cowgirls Terms for wild lose players who are always in every hand regardless of what there 1st 3 cards are !

I just watch these players and once i get a read on the whole table i count that money as mines !

There maybe one or two players that are solid regualrs that Know me and I know them so i respect them when they raise against my pairs showing !

BUT i switch play according to players at table on THE FLY no one can truly read me !

i use many actions every hand there fore i’m TELLLESS

i may be acting too like sighing when i have the monster hand or chirping like i got big hand when i have medium strenght hand that has a chance to win so i want to get in with chaeck at end !

Many players in low limits are bad actors they cannot hide there true E motions I seen players slam chips at me on the table like daring me to call or stare at me directly reaching for thier stack as if to say i’m rasing or calling if YOU bet !

I continue my wager with force to intice them or bet weakly like i ‘m bluffing !

however i notice these weak players my actions raraely work against them

they do not read other players hands or actions they focus only on thier hands and will wind up losing calling bets when they are beat by the cards other players have showing !

Many times i had quads within 4 or 5 cards of 7 stud and get rearised 3 times a capped bet showing two 10′s when no other’s even had a pair showing !

I just laugh at them when they continue rasing me !

I say $ 5 i haer $ 10 Then $ 15 then $ 20 from next 3 DOPES
i ‘am forced to call because when muti handed 3 or more thats limit on raises !

casino dealing info..?

Question by Zack: casino dealing info..?
I’ve always liked cards (weird, I know lol), I like to mess around with them doing fanning, spreading (and flipping them), cutting (false and real), ect. I’m also a pretty big poker fan. I play poker about 3 hours a day with guys at work (I’m a fireman so kind of alot of time for it) so I know alot about poker but not too much about blackjack, craps, baccarat, ect. (pretty much all I know is poker). Anyways I’ve started thinking about being a casino dealer and was wondering if anyone could tell me a little bit about how it works? Do you work all different games or just one? (like do you pick one to be hired for and thats all you do? or do you work other games too?) About how much do you make a year? And how hard is the schooling for it? How would you start out? Do you have to know math pretty well? I know math real good just not the best at algebra and all that crap. About how long does that schooling take and how much is it? um and any other info you could give me would be great.
Thanks

Answer by Mrs. BonBon
if your in vegas you need any dealers school – its usually a few hundred – if you live in area of only 1 local casino – you probably have to get hired by casino itself as a dealer and complete their own dealer school training

you can get trained for just one game initially – casinos often want you to know how to do more – so you can do more than one game – its helps both you and them – so you can always get hours …….

dealer schools in vegas are a few hundred bucks –

you can make in vegas 40 to 60k if your lucky

maybe more if you work a ton of hours

if your not in vegas it may be less Im not sure!

have fun:)

How are casino payback percentages calculated?

baccarat casino

Question by Beetle: How are casino payback percentages calculated?
Can someone tell me how to calculate the payback percentages of the different casino games? I know I can find the payback percentages, but I want to know how they are calculated.

Is it something like odds + pay table = payback ? I know in video poker the odds are known since the cards are always the same (except for games with a joker) and the payback percntage is changed by adjusting the pay table.

How is this done for different games?

I am interested in all the main casino games like:

blackjack
roulette
craps
video poker
slots (I know the odds are unknown here)
keno
baccarat
bingo
sic bo
poker
caribbean poker

Also, like in keno. How do I know which games give the best odds? Are they all the same whether one bets on 6 numbers or 10 or 15? I am assuming it is since the pay schedules are adjusted. Am I right?

Answer by Doug
How is it done? In general, all the possible scenarios are played out with the appropriate probability and are weighted by the amount you are supposed to win or lose according to the rules.

And its probability x pay out = payback

For example we can examine the “field bet” in craps.

When one makes this bet, one wins even money if a 3, 4, 9, 10, 11 is rolled on the next roll….and they win double if 2 or 12 is rolled on the next roll. If any other number is rolled, one loses the bet.

Number….Probability….Net Win….Return
2…….1/36……+2……2/36
3…….2/36……+1……2/36
4…….3/36……+1……3/36
5…….4/36…….-1….-4/36
6…….5/36…….-1….-5/36
7…….6/36…….-1….-6/36
8…….5/36…….-1….-5/36
9…….4/36……+1….+4/36
10…..3/36……+1….+3/36
11…..2/36……+1….+2/36
12…..1/36……+2….+2/36
Total Probability: 1
Total Return: -2/36

House Edge = Average amount lost/Initial Wager
So here its 2/36 = 5.56%

Most casino games are calculated in this fashion…if player’s decision is involved, it is often assumed that the player plays “optimally”.

For slots, the machines are pre-programmed to return a particular %age of the initial wager over the long run, usually in the low 90% range, which yields a house edge anywhere from 8 to 10%.

Live poker is different, here the house makes money one of two ways. Either they take out some money from the pot every hand, or they charge you a fee to sit at the table and play. In my area, the first option takes out 10% of the pot up to $ 4. The second option usually charges a player $ 7 per half hour of play.

For your keno question, the house edge will vary based on the numbers chosen…how much it will vary will vary by individual casinos.

Here is a huge webpage listing live keno returns for many casinos. By the way, the house edge on live Keno is also usually one of the worst in the casino.

What’s a casino table game better then Blackjack?

baccarat casino

Question by pillsbury09mn: What’s a casino table game better then Blackjack?
I’ve been playing Blackjack for awhile now, and I CAN’T STAND the aspect that it is so much luck involved.
Of course if you get good at the statistics, etc… then you can do pretty good. I know people that do well, but there is just so much luck it drives me crazy!
Poker is okay, but I would rather not play against the pros that come in there and know where there doing vs. a novice . and it’s clear that playing poker in a casino is a lot different then with some buddies…

SO, I’ve heard of Pai Gow, 3card poker, 4card poker, caribbean, let it ride, and Mini Baccarat.

What’s a good game to learn?
I hate slots, and it seems 90% of people in casinos play SLOTS, Blackjack, Poker, Craps, or Roulette.

What game should I learn of these CARD games?

I am in California so we don’t have real craps, or roulette.. (no mechanical stuff at Indian casinos).

Thanks!
Please answer more then a one-line response!
All the games look the same to me, and I am not hearing any “whys” : – )

Dont lose. Ok with Poker, be patient is the best easy advice to give. Dont play everyhand if you are just ok, be patient and wait for the good hands. If the flop doesnt help you and you bet out, cont your bet, the others dont know if the flop helped you. If it helped them they will call or raise, then you know where you stand.

Does anyone have an informed opinion about baccarat?

Question by Paco: Does anyone have an informed opinion about baccarat?
The August numbers came out for the Las Vegas strip, and the baccarat numbers were huge! Over $ 1 billion was gambled during the course of the month, resulting in over $ 100 million in revenue for strip casinos. What is shocking is that the money gambled on baccarat very slightly exceeded the money gambled on the rest of the pit + sports + racing.
—————————–
This gambling over $ 1 billion in a month on baccarat is only rarely equaled (like last year’s Chinese New Year’s). Baccarat earnings have pushed slightly ahead of blackjack for the previous 12 months. Considering that there are roughly 6 to 7 blackjack tables for every baccarat tables, they presumably have lower costs associated with them. It is virtually the only pit game that is improving in this economy.
————
There seems to be only five baccarat tables in Nevada that are not on the strip: 1 in Green Valley, Alliante, Harvey’s in Lake Tahoe, and 2 in Red Rock casino.
==================
“What is happening?” Are white Americans converting to baccarat? Is Las Vegas figured out a way to get a huge number of Chinese nationals here? Is it Asian Americans? Is it all whales or are more mid-level gamblers making the switch.
Slight error in above question (there are 13 baccarat tables in NV not on the strip).
—-
Still it’s a huge increase. Five years ago in August 2004, baccarat was yielding about 1/4 of the revenue of blackjack.
Note to FAH-Q: Casinos typically report “win-percentage” which is the amount of win based on the amount of money bet. It is always much higher than house edge, because people re-bet their winnings. You might buy $ 1000 in chips and play the passline all night in craps, but over the course of the evening you may make $ 10,000 in bets. The expectation is that you will lose $ 141.

The phenomena you’re describing is also occurring in Australia. The casino which I work at has increased its tables from roughly 20-30 total in 1995 to roughly 50 today – with more planned for introduction to the gaming floor over the next 18 months.
Our casino and other casinos are competing for the same slice of cheese by offering international (and in some cases, local/domestic) customers a rebate on turn-over in order to make their casino more appealing to the punters.
The game typically has very large table maximums called differentials which can be lucrative to some players, and the game can have a team-work feel to it when everybody is betting on the same betting area. A pumping Baccarat table breeds excitement which is advertising you cannot buy.
Although it is an Italian game, Baccarat is the Asian’s game. Macau has entire casino floors devoted to the game and on a busy night, not a table will be dead. In the end, I think its part fad, and will fade out a little like poker is, and craps has.
