The difference is that you experience more play in the online version, because its faster. But the roulette live is more funny. If you ask about what numbers come, they are always random, online and live.

I really liked the way you put it when you said you wanted to play roulette online “for fun”.
Even though you want to play for real money, you at least understand that the ONLY purpose for the game of roulette is for fun.
Anyone who is playing roulette to actually MAKE money is a fool and they will soon be parted with their money. The other person was correct in saying the odds are the same.
With all that says, I agree with the other person when he said it was better to play live. He said it was more “funny”. I would say one of the few positive things about roulette is that it is a fun social game where you can talk with the other people at the table and have a nice leisure time.
Always remember 2 things: #1 – Roulette can NOT be beaten. Not live, not on-line, not with ANY betting system. #2 – When you WIN at roulette, (and sometimes you WILL win), it was for ONE REASON ONLY – that is because YOU GOT LUCKY! Not because of anything that you did “right”. Luck is luck, and that’s all there is.
Try to beat roulette at your peril. HAVE FUN, and you’ll be fine. (As long as you can afford the cost of this fun.)
Actually anything you play at the casino you are dealing with luck. There is not one game there that luck does not come in, in response to pdq’s comment. Roulette, black jack, and poker give you the best odds of winning at any casino.
There is not any difference in the game itself (It is random both live and online). But yes, do not play roulette (live or online) expecting to get rich. Playing for fun hoping to get lucky – ok – but don’t expect to get rich. Check this casino out if you are looking for online roulette. They are a credible company (I bet sports with them personally and they are good to deal with):

First of all I disagree with those who say you can’t make money off of roulette. Like any game you are dealing with luck but strategy will be the difference between going home with money or losing money. Anyway, I’m not harp on this because you as an experienced player probably have your own way of playing. In my opinion online roulette just isn’t as fun as playing it live in a casino. The entire atmosphere of the casino along with the perks like free drinks are gone as well. Most online casinos also don’t offer comp dollars either. When I play roulette I bet alot and on those unlucky days it’s less stinging knowing you’ve racked up a bunch of a dollars in comp. Now if you’re looking to play once a week with a 20 buck cap then I say go for it, but staring at a screen in nothing like the real thing.
