Question by : How many decks are used in UK casino blackjack?
Hello,

What is the number of decks used in the game of casino blackjack in the united kingdom?

Are there regulations to the number of decks of cards used or is it at the individual casinos discretion?

This is just regarding the UK.

It used to be four decks when I was there a long time ago, but I don’t know what it is today. The average person is an idiot and a party animal, and knows little if anything about the technical aspects of the game. He doesn’t care if it’s one deck or 100 decks, or if continuous shuffle machines are used. He believes it’s all about “luck.”

i have found a local place to play blackjack so i am trying to learn the best strategies of blackjack. i am learning quickly on when to hit, stand, or double but my question is it possible to count cards with a 6 deck shu?

I’m looking to practice in blackjack but all I can find online for free is single deck games. All the casinos in my area are 6 deck and the odds drop a lot in a six deck game so I want to practice.

Hi,
I was wondering if anyone could provide me with a list of casinos in and around michigan that offer blackjack and please indicate the number of decks they use in their blackjack shoe. I am looking for casinos that have lower numbers of decks so i can try to count cards. Dont just tell me i can;t because i have been able to count through a deck of cards perfectly in under 40 seconds and have only been practicing for a little over 2 hours. thanks for the help!

Havent played blackjack at crown for ages (poker player) but it is either 6 or 8. Someone who regs BJ there can probably answer 100% correctly. Not sure about the tables with auto shufflers though.

You can always just ask the dealer/floor person next time you are there
