Roulette… Probability Question?

Question by ChelsiM: Roulette… Probability Question?
A gambling book recommends the following “winning strategy” for the game of roulette. It recommends
that the gambler bet on red. If red appears (which has probability 18/38, then the gambler should take
her profit and quit. If the gambler loses this bet (which has probability 20/38 of occurring), she should
make additional bets on red on each of the next two spins of the roulette wheel and then quit. Let
X denote the gambler’s winnings when she quits.

Find P(X>0).

Many thanks in advance!

The only way to come out ahead is to win on the first bet, or lose a buck and then win 1 buck back on *each* of the next two bets, since only winning on one of the three bets will put you down a buck.

So you get P(W) + P(L,W,W) = 18/38 + 20/38*18/38*18/38
= 18/38 + 6480/54872
= 25992+6840/54872
= 32832/54872,

which is approximately 0.59833795, or 59.8%.

If you’re playing from a location inside the US the folks you are trusting with your money or credit card number are felons. You can trust them as far as you can trust any other felon.

Online USA Casino playing Help? Please answer each question in Details.?

Question by John H: Online USA Casino playing Help? Please answer each question in Details.?
I am thinking of joining with an online casino accepting USA players. I was Reading the Terms and conditions and it says something like I have to wager 13 times the amount I deposit + Bonus in order to cash out and that does not count Blackjack and Roulette!
What does That mean?
I want to play the roulette so which casino should I use?
Are there any online usa casinos that dont have this rule?
How can you cahsout?
Which casino do you recommend based on personal experience?
PLEASE NO AFFILIATES OR REVIEW SITES. Just looking for an honest answer.
Thank you very much

Those terms generally mean that you have to rollover so many times to cashout with your bonus money. If you don’t accept a bonus, then you shouldn’t worry about rollover amounts. FWIW, if you are looking to choose a site based on their bonus amount, then you’ll probably lose more trying to release it than the amount of the bonus amount, in the first place! You should choose a site based on your preferred deposit and payout methods…all good sites generally offer fast and free payouts, but a check may be free at one site, while there may be a fee at another. And so on with other methods, like echecks and bank transfers.

Also, when the sites disclose that blackjack and roulette don’t count towards your rollover, it just means that it’s easy for players to rollover with these games, and they don’t want to make it easy for you to get that bonus.

I know you asked for no reviews sites, but you might find the information at http://dagus-statistics.com/reviews informative to further help you make an informed decision on which site you want to choose. There are too many scam sites out there, and the sites that I recommend and play at are listed there. The tips are made from myself…a fellow online gambler from the US, not some Internet fatcat in Europe looking to make a quick buck! Hope this helps.

Hey online gamblers, i have a question…..?

roulette bonus

Question by poppy: Hey online gamblers, i have a question…..?
What does this mean ´

A check of our database shows that a 100% Match-up bonus was credited to your account. As a result, the bonus must be completed before the limit on roulette can be increased.

Whatever you deposited to your account on that gambling site, they matched it so if you put 100 bucks in they put 200 in there for you. But they wont let you play more then X amount of dollars. Example 200 on red. you must atleast play the bonus amount value in the example case it would be 100 bucks before you can then bet whatever you want. They also won’t let you cash out the bonus until you atleast play 100 bucks. The reason they do is they don’t want you to double up and run(with there bonus money) so they want you to stick around for awhile and get addicted of course. Hope this helped.

So,I set up my online casino account, and I’m ready to deposit money.
I read rules ,information of this casino, review, but few hours ago I read
on one’s online roulette site, that If I bet bonus money and If I’ll win those money I won will turn into bonus money, like I can’t windthraw it.
So I want to ask, same rule is in every casino,or only in one I found?

Answer by GamblingMaster
The bonus money are withdrawable, you just have to bet them x times, depending on the bonus conditions, after that you can withdraw them, they do this because if there isnt playthrough you can simply deposit and get the bonus and withdraw straight after that. The playthrough guarantees that you will play with the money.

Q&A: Help with a geometry bonus question?? PLEASE?

Question by Lookingforadvice: Help with a geometry bonus question?? PLEASE?
The casino manager wished to check the bias on the roulette wheel, so he asked six of his croupiers to report back to him at the end of the week with the number on the wheel which had been most successful.
The wheel consisted of 36 numbers 1 to 36 with no zero.
These were the 6 answers:
A said, “It was even.”
B said, “It was odd.”
C said, “It was prime.”
D said, “It was square.”
E said, “It had at least one 2 in it.”
F said, “It was a single digit.”
(The number 1 is not considered to be a prime number.)
But two had lied. Which number was most successful?

2. Its even, its prime, it has at least one “2″ in it, and it is a single digit. B and D are lying.
