Answer by Mrs. BonBon
most blackjack tables are around 5.00 minimums for the cheap ones – those might have limits of either 500 or 1k tops

average these days is either 10 or 15 minimum and they usually have either 2k or 3k minimum

25 dollar tables have limits usually of 3k or 5k per hand

100 dollar tables can be as low as 2k if its a themed casino or something with very good rules for the player – some 100 tables can have limits up to 10 to 15k per hand

it all depends on the casino, and whether or not they cater to the high rollers, sounds stupid but some casinos/properties do not want to take the risk with big limits because its very volatile and when the volatility swings in the wrong direction for them its very EXPENSIVE

Casino advice for a beginner going to Vegas!?

baccarat casino

Question by Barbarella: Casino advice for a beginner going to Vegas!?
Ive been to casinos a few times and I went to Macau last year but I would really appreciate some tips as I went with my bf who pretty much took care of everything…. Please can someone give tips on going to casinos? i.e where to go to change money and how much are you supposed to change into chips/tokens each time (I know if depends how much you wanna play but whats the norm?)

what are the kind of rules and etiquettes when playing? I know how to play blackjack and baccarat and roulette but are there any rules i.e is it rude to stand around, how to wait ur turn etc? Also I think there are some hand signals you need to give for blackjack to signify whether you want more cards or not? Are there hand signals for every game?

Also I hear they give free drinks when you gamble…. Is that true? How do you get them? and how do they know what you want? Does some girl just come round?

Are casinos in vegas open 24/7? can you smoke inside?

Thanks for any help!
How much do I tip the waitress and the dealer? $ 1 like the buffet server and taxi driver?
Also how do I tip the dealer?? Just give it to them?? Will they think its weird?

Best answer:

Answer by I pity the fool!
Yes you must give hand signals in Blackjack. While playing dice, always know where the dice are, so you dont have your hand down as the dice are thrown your way. Always respect the dealer, (they are at work ya know). Just have fun, dont try to make money, just play and enjoy yourself.

U can buy chips at the tables.

Drinks are free, but make sure you tip the waitresses!

When you play at a table game, make sure to get a few $ 1 chips so you can tip the waitress AND the dealers! These people only make minimum wage and expect tips for service. You can bet the tip with your bet, or you can just give it to the dealer (ask what the perfer).

Dont forget to tip the bellman that takes your bags, $ 1 per bag.

Dont forget to tip the cab driver $ 2.

Dont forget to tip the buffet servers $ 1 per person.

As, you can tell, there are alot of people that rely on tipping. When in doubt, tip!

Where in Las Vegas can I find $10 minimum outside bets on roulette with at least more than $320 max outside?

online roulette

Question by skunkaperecords: Where in Las Vegas can I find minimum outside bets on roulette with at least more than 0 max outside?
Ok, so I have been practicing the “Martingale” system with an online roulette simulation game. It is American roulette with 0 and 00. I have played 10 games and I have made my goal of $ 100 profit each time within about 5 to 12 minutes. I use a bankroll of $ 310 and I’ve only had to bet $ 80 on two occasions to win my losses back.

I am going to Vegas with my buddies and my goal is to just make $ 100 profit on the roulette wheel. Are the chances that I will get to my $ 100 goal before I hit 5 REDS in a row (I’m playing BLACK) and lose my $ 310 bankroll likely? I am putting the system to the test with my simulated roulette game and I keep getting to my $ 100 goal before losing my $ 310.

I keep hearing Martingale is good for short term small profits but just not long term.

Martingale is not good for anything, except to increase revenue for the casino.

If it was good for short term small profits, it would be good for long-term steady profits.

You are still betting on luck. You will end up risking a lot of money for the possibility of a very small payout. It really is just plain stupid.

Every roulette table in Las Vegas has a board that keeps track of the most recent numbers. Walk around the casino and look at how many of them have 5 or more consecutive spins of the same color.

All you need to do is hit the one time where the other color comes up 6 times in a row, and you will lose a whole lot of money in a very short time.

Think about it this way: If the Martingale was a good strategy, you would be able to play it with a friend. One of you would play red, one of you would play black, and you would both win money. Obviously that can’t happen, so you just have to guess which color will make money for you *this* time.

What places give the best blackjack tables in Las Vegas? I want the best odds when playing Basic Strategy.?

Apply basic strategy to a 25 cent coin operated machine, just make sure it allows doubling and splitting, your expected loss wont come ANYWHERE near the value of free mixed drinks you will be getting all night long.

About odds on the table games, vegas has probibly ten thousand blackjack tables, many casinos offer different rules that yeild different odds evn on table in the same casino, it is impossible to keep tabs, but you can evaluate them by looking at how they are dealt.

Avoid tables where…….
-Dealer hits a soft 17 (says so on the felt, by it NOT saying he satnds on 17, and instead says hits to soft 17, and stands soft 18′s)
-Blackjack pays 6:5 or 7:5, or even money (says so on the felt)
-Doubling after splitting is not permitted
-BEWARE SINGLE DECK game where blackjack pays 6:5

Look for table where…..
-Dealer stands soft 17
-blackjack pays 3:2
-fewer decks, but not less than 3, or basic strategy will be different, however the odds will be better as long as other rules are nto added to make the ods worse.
-double after splittign allowed.
-split more than once, or more than twice

DO NOT PLAY GAMES WHERE BLACKJACK PAYS 6:5, EVER

Here are a few things you need to know about playing the roulette in Vegas.

1) Roulette is a game of pure chance
2) There is no mathematical or statistical method to accurately predict where the ball is going to land.
3) The house always win with Roulette. No strategy can overcome the built-in house percentage.

5) Get in, make your money, and get out.
6) Finally, In the end it is luck and not strategy that governs this game.

What are the typical conditions of a blackjack table in a casino on the Vegas Strip?

Question by dreamyhotty: What are the typical conditions of a blackjack table in a casino on the Vegas Strip?
For example:

1)What is the average min-max, and what are the typical table rules and number of decks?

2)Are the tables normally crowded?

Best answer:

Answer by ZCT
1) I don’t think there is a typical average. Tables start as low as $ 5 (off peak, cheap casinos) and go much much higher. The upper limit will typically be 100 times the low limit, or around there. But it seems to vary from one place to another.

2) Tables are crowded at peak times, and less so off peak. So it completely depends when and where you go. It’s like saying, are restaurants busy in your home town? Sure they are, especially on a Friday or Saturday night during meal times. But show up at 5pm on a Tuesday, and they will be quiet.

As far as the rules and number of decks go, this varies a lot. In fact the web site Wizard of Odds states that their are at least 3,456 different combinations of rules that you can see. So there are lot of combinations.

Vegas has a lot of single deck blackjack these days. But on tables like this, they often pay blackjack out at a lower rate. So it isn’t a great game.
